Chloe’s favourite songs always depend on the lyrics. Are they relatable, deep, will they trigger self-reflection or awareness to others? This is seen in her lyrics where the words are the most important thing to her when she is writing. When Chloe moved back into care at 15 she was surrounded by raving young people who loved a good tune for a wipe out. She liked the music style and found Concrete Angel on YouTube. When she heard it she felt like it was describing her and her inability to trust. She lost so much trust and care for people due to circumstances so she shut everything out that caused any triggers. when she was 20 she wanted to paint how she felt at that time as a part of a reflection activity showing where she came from and this song was her inspiration for this painting. CONCRETE ANGEL is a great example of how art can encourage reflection , self awareness and creativity.
